Alex Bhathal and Lisa Bhathal Merage founded Revitate through their family investment office, RAJ Capital, and the company is led by Partner and Chief Operating Officer Kunal Merchant. The vision for Revitate emerged from the Bhathal family’s multigenerational journey in real estate, consumer brands, sports, and philanthropy.

Alex Bhathal

EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN & MANAGING PARTNER

Alex Bhathal is Founder, Executive Chairman, and Managing Partner of Revitate, building upon the legacy and success of the RAJ Capital family investment office. Alex is co-owner and Executive Director of Sacramento Basketball Holdings, which owns the Sacramento Kings, Golden 1 Center and Downtown Commons entertainment and sports district. At Revitate, he leads the firm’s investment activities in opportunity zone development, workforce housing, and sports-anchored real estate and is Senior Operating Partner of Rx3 Growth Partners, a consumer growth fund. He serves as Board Director for Compass Diversified (NYSE: CODI) and Mark IV Capital. Alex is a member of YPO and earned his B.A. from the University of California Los Angeles, M.B.A from the University of Southern California and is completing the Presidents Program in Leadership at Harvard Business School.

 

Lisa Bhathal Merage

CHIEF IMPACT OFFICER & MANAGING PARTNER

Lisa Bhathal Merage is Co-Founder, Chief Impact Officer, and Managing Partner of Revitate. She previously served as CEO of RAJ Swim, the Bhathal family’s 50-year-old women’s swimwear business. During her tenure, the firm successfully sold to private equity in what remains the largest private equity buyout in the swimwear industry. She was honored as the 2012 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim Presents “Designer of the Year,” and 2015 Modern Luxury magazine “Altruist of the Year.” She has appeared in numerous fashion and business media segments, including CBS, NBC, FOX, and E! Entertainment Television. Recently, Lisa and her family finalized the purchase of the Portland Thorns in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) where Lisa serves as Governor. Lisa also currently serves as Trustee and Advancement Committee Chair at JSerra Catholic High School  and Treasurer of Angel of the Arts at Segerstrom Center. She previously served as Vice Chair of the Board of the Orange County Museum of Art, and previously served as on the Boards of Gen Next, Sage Hill School, and St. Mary’s IB World School. She is a graduate of USC's Marshall School of Business and holds a Certificate in Social Impact Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania.

Kunal Merchant

PARTNER & CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Kunal is Revitate’s Partner and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the firm’s strategic and operational activities on behalf of the Managing Partners. Kunal also leads Revitate’s sports vertical, drawing on fifteen years of experience in the business of sports as a former senior executive and advisor to a range of major professional sports teams and organizations. Kunal was previously Co-Founder and Managing Director of Lotus Advisory, a consulting firm providing strategic, management, public affairs, and communications support to clients in sports, technology, real estate, public policy, and philanthropy. Kunal specializes in public-private partnerships, having played central leadership roles in over $10 billion in projects nationwide. Kunal was instrumental in the development of the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento via his roles as a Mayor’s Chief of Staff and Sacramento Kings executive. He is also a former nonprofit executive in health care and education and sits on the Board of the Green Sports Alliance. Kunal earned his B.A. with high honors from Harvard University, and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

 

Chris Marsh

SENIOR OPERATING PARTNER, REVITATE CRE, & GENERAL PARTNER, REVITATE CHERRY TREE

Chris Marsh serves as Senior Operating Partner of Revitate CRE and General Partner for Revitate Cherry Tree Multifamily Fund. Chris co-founded Revitate Cherry Tree after an 18-year career at Irvine Company, where he served as President of the Apartment Division, which became the 10th largest owner of multifamily real estate in the country during his time at the helm. Chris leverages a vast knowledge of commercial and multi-family real estate and capital market relationships to provide the strategic direction of the firm. With more than 30 years of proven experience, Chris had led the strategic reinvestment, asset management, segmentation strategy, capital allocation, acquisitions and dispositions for the Irvine Company’s 65,000-unit portfolio while also adding 22,000 new apartment units to and repositioning 13,000+ units in that portfolio during his time overseeing acquisitions, due diligence, entitlements, product development, design, delivery, and portfolio asset management responsibilities. Child education and community development are at the core of Chris’s values and philanthropic legacy. Chris sits on the non-profit Boards of St. Mary's IB School, Aliso Viejo and Jessie Rees Foundation – NEGU. Chris received a BS in Quantity Surveying from the University of Birmingham, UK, and a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Reading, UK.

 

Robert Lang

MANAGING DIRECTOR, COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE

Rob serves as Managing Director of Commercial Real Estate at Revitate. Robert brings over 30 years of real estate experience to the firm, having led more than $25 billion of acquisitions, developments, and financings for multifamily, office, industrial, retail, resort, self-storage, and residential land developments. Robert also has held key leadership roles in creating public-private partnerships to build affordable housing, K-12 schools, and transportation infrastructure. Prior to Revitate, Rob was Chief Investment Officer at Platinum Storage, where he co-founded an Opportunity Zone fund, raised equity from institutional and family office investors, and led QOZ investment activities. His leadership roles included acquisitions, development, equity raising, debt financing, investor relations, asset management, and due diligence. Robert also previously spent 18 years at the Irvine Company, rising to the role of Deputy Chief Investment Officer. During his tenure, he led Irvine Company’s capital markets group, with responsibility for corporate finance strategy, rating agency and lender relationships, and corporate treasury for the company’s 100 million+ square feet of commercial properties. Prior to the Irvine Company, Robert was an investment banker with J.P. Morgan and Bank of America. He has also served as Special Advisor to Tenant Inc., a startup prop tech company, for its seed equity capital raise and two successful follow-on equity rounds. Rob earned his bachelor’s degree at UC Berkeley and his master’s degree at Harvard University.

 

Ryan Loch

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Ryan is Revitate’s Chief Financial Officer. Ryan was previously a senior vice president at PIMCO, one of the largest investment managers in the world, where he led the private equity financial control team within the alternatives group focused on closed-end funds investing over $20 billion across commercial real estate, private equity, specialty finance, residential, commercial and consumer credit. Prior to that Ryan served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Gapstow Capital Partners , a credit-focused asset manager in New York, where he oversaw all operations and financial reporting for the firm.  Ryan also functioned as Fund Controller for UBP Asset Management after beginning his career at Citi Private Equity Services.  He has over 18 years of industry experience. Ryan holds a B.S. in Finance from Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business.

 

David Eberle

MANAGING DIRECTOR - MIDWEST, CAPITAL MARKETS

David S. Eberle Managing Director – Midwest, Capital Markets joined Revitate in 2023.  Mr. Eberle has over 35 years of experience in the financial sector, with a primary focus on private equity real estate.  He has been directly involved in raising over $8B in retail and institutional investor equity for real estate focused assets.  Prior to joining Revitate, David was the Senior Vice President- Greater Midwest for Pacific Oak Capital Markets. Before joining Pacific Oak David was with Arden Group as Managing Director - Investor Relations. Previous to this, Mr. Eberle spent 8 years as an owner and partner in Demeter, LLC. , Demeter raised equity from and provided investment management for a portfolio of agricultural real estate for Harvard Management Company. He holds the following Securities Licenses; Series 7, Series 63, and SIE. Mr. Eberle earned a B.S. Degree in Management from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN.  David lives in Minnesota with his wife, 5 kids and dog.

 

Anthony Vu

VICE PRESIDENT OF INVESTMENTS

Anthony Vu serves as Vice President of Investments for Revitate and brings over 14 years of commercial real estate and finance experience. Prior to joining the Revitate team, Anthony was Senior Director of Investments and Operations at RealtyShares, an investment and crowdfunding platform for commercial real estate. Prior to that, Anthony was Director of Acquisitions at Thor Equities, an institutional real estate private equity fund, principal developer, and vertically-integrated operator headquartered in New York City. At Thor, he closed over 40 acquisitions totaling over $4.0 billion via a variety of structures, investors, and lenders, with a focus on value-add properties in North America, Europe, and Latin America. Anthony managed acquisitions teams in Thor’s New York and London offices and worked directly in global asset management, where he contributed to the successful execution of business plans, capital raising, and portfolio transactions. Prior to Thor, he worked in Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for KLA-Tencor. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from University of California, San Diego, and a M.S. in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University.

 

Quinn Forman

CONTROLLER

Quinn serves as Controller of Revitate and is responsible for supervising the accounting and financial statement reporting in accordance with US GAAP for investment companies for the Firm’s fund partnership vehicles focused on real estate investments. Previously, he was a lead analyst in Investment Operations at Capital Group, one of the largest investment management organizations. Prior to Capital Group, Quinn spent over 7 years in EY’s Los Angeles audit practice providing client service to both public and private companies in the real estate, engineering and construction, office and multifamily REIT and private equity industries. Quinn received his Bachelor of Arts in International Development from UCLA and is a licensed CPA in the State of California.

 

Jack Benjamin

DIRECTOR OF CAPITAL MARKETS - WEST COAST REGION

Jack serves as Director of Capital Markets-West Coast Region, and joined Revitate in 2023. Jack has over 11 years of experience in the financial sector, with a primary focus on Private Alternatives, Equities and Fixed Income. He has been directly involved in raising over $6B in retail and institutional investor capital. Prior to joining Revitate, Jack was Vice President- Southern California for Nuveen Investments. Before joining Nuveen, Jack was with the Vanguard Group as a Business Development Associate in Scottsdale, AZ. He holds the following Securities Licenses: Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65. Jack earned his B.S. Degree in Finance, with a minor in International Business from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

Holly Harshman

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Holly serves as Director of Marketing for Revitate. Her expertise stems from 15 years’ experience in brand development, strategy, creative direction, public relations, digital marketing, photoshoot production, event design and execution, graphic and web design. Holly has collaborated with some of the biggest global consumer brands including GUESS?, Tommy Hilfiger, St. John, Hurley, Sports Illustrated, Juicy Couture, Nautica, Reef, Oakley, Portland Thorns and the Sacramento Kings. She was featured in Forbes for her role as Co-founder and Creative Director of VYB Swim, a sustainable concept collection using upcycled materials. Holly earned her degree in management from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Los Angeles.

 

Tessa Collins

DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

Tessa serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives for Revitate. She has nearly a decade of experience servicing the nation’s largest Commercial Real Estate brokerage firms. She got her start at CBRE’s West LA office, working with Laurie Lustig-Bower. There, she developed her marketing and sales support expertise. From CBRE, she went on to manage marketing for both Retail and Industrial lines of business at HFF Los Angeles. Tessa then brought her vision to CIM Group, where she laid the groundwork for internal marketing processes and best practices for their national leasing team. Tessa returned to CBRE for an opportunity to lead business development and ultimately property marketing on a regional level. She successfully supported the DTLA, Inland Empire and Hawaii Offices. Tessa received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, Irvine.

 

John Nolan

ASSET MANAGER

As Asset Manager of Revitate, John Nolan is directly responsible for the RevOZ Capital portfolio and brings 20+ years of commercial real estate and finance experience to the team.  Prior to joining Revitate, John was Vice President of Asset Management for a value-add, private equity investment fund at NAI Partners, where he managed a portfolio of office, industrial, and retail assets across South Central Texas.  Before NAI, John was Joint Venture Asset Manager with Weingarten Realty Investors (NYSE: WRI), where he established and maintained long-term business relationships with many of Weingarten’s institutional investors.  At Weingarten, he was responsible for a portfolio of 30 shopping centers across the US, containing over 3.5 million square feet. Prior to Weingarten, John worked for a boutique commercial real estate advisory firm, where he underwrote over $2.4 billion of institutional-grade investment property nationwide including multifamily, industrial, shopping centers, office, hospitality, and single-tenant net-lease.  Earlier in his career, John worked in investment sales and as a regional loan officer at Marcus & Millichap and in corporate finance at Electronic Data Systems (EDS).  John earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree cum laude in Finance from Texas Christian University where he also played division 1 soccer.

 

Lowell Schipper

SENIOR ASSOCIATE OF OPERATIONS & INVESTOR RELATIONS

Lowell Schipper serves as the Senior Associate of Operations and Investor Relations for Revitate, managing investments across the various funds within the firm, while also managing investor relations. Lowell was previously at JLL, working on their capital markets team in Portland and Orange County, valuing over $3 billion in multi-family assets and land, as well as over $1.5 billion in acquisition financing, construction financing and joint-venture opportunities. Prior to JLL, Lowell graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science concentrated in finance and marketing, where he played division I baseball for four years, while also being the first chair violist in the Richmond Orchestra. Following his undergraduate degree, Lowell received his MBA from Lenoir-Rhyne University, and worked for the Crow Holdings capital markets team in Dallas during the second year of his MBA.

Cynthia Resendiz

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Cynthia serves as the Executive Assistant for Revitate. With over 10 years of experience in professional executive and administrative responsibilities, she has a strong track record of outstanding performance and problem-solving skills. Her administrative duties consist of travel and event coordination for the firm, accounting in various roles for Revitate and its portfolio companies, and efficiently handling office management.
